UFA Challenge ASA is hosting a University of First Age challenge for children in Stroud. Their challenge is to organise their very own inclusive sportability tournament. The challenge will take place over four days based at Amberley Ridge School in August. Bristol Year of Sport 2004 Bristol City Ability FC and Bristol Ability Sports Club are taking part in the Bristol Year of Sport 2004 Open Week, offering a chance for new players to join in free of charge. This is an end of season celebration with the Player of the Year Awards following presentations. Football + Tournament Bristol City made it to the final of the London Football + tournament . They encountered Chelsea in the final narrowly losing 1-0. Bristol City take on Chelsea Bristol City hosted Chelsea for a friendly at home. Although played in good humoured fashion the Reds went on to win 4-1. England Players Bristol City Ian Flook midfielder has joined the England Cerebral Palsy squad for regular training at Lilleshall National Coaching Centre. This is a great opportunity for Ian to establish himself in the squad w to participate in tournaments across the world. Bristol City Daryl Fox striker was one of the lucky few to be picked for England Mencap Gateway national squad. The squad will be entering the 25th European Football tournament in Geneva on 28th - 30th May 2004. Congratulations to Daryl for a well deserved place following a successful first season with Bristol City Thirty eight adult, youth and junior teams from across the South West have entered SW Regional FA Ability Counts 7-a-side tournament on Sunday 22nd February 2004 hosted by Bristol City. SW Regional Ability Counts Tournament ASA hosted the SW Regional FA Ability Counts Football 7-a-side tournament for disabled children and adults. 38 teams from across the South West have entered. BBC1 filmed live as part of the Bristol Year of Sport 2004 sports initiative. The tournament took place on Sunday 22nd February 2004 at Clifton College Sports Ground.
