Ability Sports Association has recently received a donation of £9900 over three years from The Nationwide Foundation to support its work. The donation will be used to support a Volunteer Coordinator to develop a bank of volunteers, with training and expenses, for affiliated multi-sports clubs for disabled children and adults across the West of England. Ability Sports Association organises events and tournaments, as well as qualified coaching at six multi-sports clubs for disabled children and adults across the West of England. Mike Robey, Coordinator of ASA said: “We are very grateful to The Nationwide Foundation for this donation. It will enable us to increase our bank of volunteers tremendously, through the support of a dedicated volunteer coordinator, as well as giving them opportunities to gain training and accreditation.” Jacqueline Reeve, The Foundation’s chief executive said: “ Every donation made by The Foundation aims to help disadvantaged people and communities.
